本翻译报告中的翻译材料节选自《澳大利亚珀斯4×500MW燃煤电站项目主体工程施工合同》，此材料是湖南电建集团澳大利亚分公司与澳大利亚**发电有限公司签订位于澳大利亚珀斯的4×500MW燃煤电站项目的主体工程施工合同。该公司委托成都市思译翻译有限公司将其拟定的中文合同文本翻译为英文。本人在成都市思译翻译有限公司实习期间，参与了该项目的部分翻译工作，具体章节为第九至十四章。该部分内容是翻译关于燃煤电站施工过程中的施工安全、治安保卫和环境保护、进度计划、开工和竣工、暂停施工、工程质量、试验和检验的内容，共六个章节，一万五千余字。
源文本具有较强的专业性，属于工程合同类文本，译者要对该领域的相关专业知识有所了解。例如，译者在试译过程中遇到了“隐蔽工程”、“六牌两图”、“临建设施”等词汇，需要译者查阅建筑领域的专业术语，准确翻译。此外，合同文本涉及大量同义词或近义词并列使用的情况，该类词汇一方面可以增强读者在阅读文本时的正式感和庄严感，另一方面可以通过词汇的并列含义缩小词义范围，从而限定唯一含义，避免引起歧义。文中有大量的中式表达、宣传标语、口号等，首先要充分理解这些词语、语句想要表达的意思，再选择最合适的方法进行翻译。如在直译后附加解释、音译后附加解释，或者在英文中找到类似的说法加以替换等。
二、译文修改
例1：
ST：承包人发生基建安全事件后，现场人员应立即向现场负责人报告，由现场负责人向本单位负责人即时报告，同时要向发包人、监理人报告。
TT1：If any incident endangering infrastructure security occurs to the Contractor,on-site personnel shall immediately report to the on-site person in charge. The on-site person in charge shall immediately report this to the head of the unit. And at the same time, reports shall be made to the Employer and the Engineer.

讨论过程：由于原文强调“与主体工程同时施工、同时竣工验收、同时投产”，所以改为TT2，这样会更加突出“主体工程”的位置，同时整个句子也会更加简练。
例3：
ST:发包人的工程管理人员、项目经理、安全监督人员、监理人将对施工现场进行例行检查、抽查，按照合同约定的有关标准或考核办法对承包人的安全文明施工、治安保卫和环境保护等工作进行考核，并根据考核结果扣减相关费用或要求承包人承担违约责任。
TT1: The Employer’s project management personnel, project managers, safety supervision personnel, and Engineer will perform routine check and spot check on the construction site. 讨论过程：为了避免重复，出现大量的system，影响译文质量与阅读体验，可以统一将译文中20个小标题中的system删去，在不影响语义的情况下，使译文更加简洁，不冗杂。
三、研讨反思
经过此次译名堂，我收获了许多，在案例分析方面也有很多新的思路，非常感谢三位老师以及各位同学的帮助。
首先，要跳出源文本的束缚，不能完全按照原文中的内容进行逐字翻译，要仔细研究原文内容，对其有自己的判断，做出相应的取舍。例如，在例4中，由于有20个关于“制度”的小标题，而且是并列出现，将其译为“system”一词，在TT1中反复出现了20次，有时在前，有时在后，整个文字排版看起来很凌乱，而且译文也不简洁。根据老师的意见，将其全部删除，开头一句处理为“Theseinclude, but not limited to, the systems in the following fields”，已经将所有“system”包含在内，下文中不必再反复出现，这样处理使译文更加简明、精练。
其次，需要理清句子中的逻辑关系。例如，在例3中，原句中有一个隐含的逻辑关系，即考核结果不合格才会扣减相关费用，而不是直接根据考核结果扣减，所以翻译的时候需要将这个逻辑关系显示出来，不能一刀切，继续按照原文进行逐字翻译。还有在例1中，有一个从下至上，依次逐级汇报的逻辑关系，如果简单地进行逐字翻译，不仅会出现大量的重复，还会使句子逻辑结构混乱，此时需要找出一个合适的主语，TT2中把“现场负责人”做主语，不仅能够使上下文更流畅地衔接，逻辑更加清晰，语句更加流畅，整句话的翻译也更加简洁明了。
除了以上收获之外，我也明白了遇到问题时向专业人士寻求帮助的重要性，根据三位老师的指导意见，我会进一步精修自己的译文，更加认真地进行后续工作，在遇到积极寻求老师的意见和建议！
