致西南石油大学外籍师生的一封信
A Letter to SWPU International Teachers and Students
亲爱的石大外籍教师和国际学生们：
当前，全球疫情形势瞬息万变，我们时刻挂念着每一位西南石大外籍师生的生命安全和身心健康，你们的健康平安是学校最大的期盼。面对可能发生的变化，我们做以下温馨提示：
Dear International teachers and students:
At present, the global situation of COVID-19 epidemic is changing rapidly. We are always concerned about the life safety and physical and mental health of every international teacher and student. Your health and safety are the biggest expectation of SWPU. In the face of possible changes, we have following warm tips:
一、重视疫情、理性应对：希望你们树立起战胜疫情的必胜信念，以科学的态度认识疫情，用智慧与理性看待疫情，以更强的勇气和定力从容应对复杂多变的未来，展现西南石大师生的非凡韧劲和良好风貌。
1. Attach importance to epidemic rationally.We hope you can establish the triumphalism to overcome the epidemic, understand the epidemic with a scientific attitude, treat it with wisdom and reason, calmly deal with the complicated and changeable future with stronger courage and perseverance, show the extraordinary resilience and good spirit of SWPU teachers and students.
二、科学防护、关爱生命：希望你们进一步增强疫情防控和自我保护意识，随时关注和了解所在国疾病控制中心或卫生健康部门等官方部门发布的信息和指南，遵守当地疫情防控规定，加强科学防护。
2. Strengthen abilities of self-protection scientifically.We hope you will further enhance your awareness of epidemic prevention and control and self-protection, pay close attention to the information and guidelines issued by the centers for disease control or other official health departments in your country, abide by the local regulations on epidemic prevention and control, and strengthen scientific protection.
三、主动关注，保持联动：希望你们务必与学校保持密切联系，随时关注学校、学院发布的消息。如有任何困难，请及时告知，学校会竭尽所能为大家提供帮助。
3. Keep contact with university proactively.We hope you must keep close contact with university and pay close attention to the information released by SWPU and your department at any time. If you have any difficulties, please let us know in time. The university will do its best to help you.
四、不负韶华，只争朝夕：“非学无以广才，非志无以成学”，疫情期间，希望你们能够继续合理安排时间，配合学校的线上教学活动。充分利用教育资源潜心研究、丰富积淀，努力实现自我提升。
4. Seize the day and live it to the full.As the Chinese poem says: There is no ability increase without hard work, there is no academic achievement without great aspiration. During the epidemic period, we hope you can continue to make reasonable arrangements for your time, cooperate with the online teaching activities, make full use of educational resources to concentrate on research, enrich your knowledge, and strive to achieve self-improvement.
无论身在何处，西南石大永远与你们心连心，学校永远是你们最坚强的后盾。衷心祝愿全体石大外籍师生及家人平安健康！
No matter where you are, our hearts are always linked to each other. SWPU will always be your strong backing. We sincerely wish all of international teachers and students as well as your family members safe and healthy!
